As your baby’s tastes develop, they should be able to eat the same meals as the rest of the family.This is good for you, as you can simply cook the family meal (avoiding salt, sugar etc) set aside your baby’s portion, then season it further for the rest of the family to enjoy.

It’s also good for your baby as it widens their palate, encourages them to adapt to your pattern of eating, and lets them share in family mealtimes.

If time allows, let older babies get involved (safely!) in preparing or cooking the meal to help them develop a real love of food.
